About Us

“Putting the Care Back in Health Care”

Frederiksted Health Care, Inc is a Community-based Not-for-profit Primary Health Care Center. Based in Historic Frederiksted, on the West end of St. Croix, USVI, we are here for you.

Accomplishments

Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. is proud to share that we have attained many successes as an independent body such as:

  1. •FHC has been approved as a Medicare Provider.


  1. •We have been credentialed by VI Equicare.


  1. •FHC is a National Health Scholar Corps approved site.


  1. •Department of Health has recognized FHC for maintaining higher rates of HIV Testing in pregnant women.


  1. •Juan Luis has recognized FHC for our consistency in prenatal care.


  1. •FHC has a Quality Assurance Plan.


  1. •FHC has instituted Hepatitis B vaccination, TB Surveillance, and other Occupational Health Programs.


  1. •Earlier this year, Medicare Part B was approved for FHC Lab Services.


  1. •Most recently FHC received COLA Laboratory Excellence Award for our Laboratory Services. (Recipients must have demonstrated successful proficiency testing for the prior three testing events and have no complaints against the laboratory.)


  1. •Implemented After Hour Call Service for all FHC patients.


  1. •Purchase and Implementation of NEXT GEN.


  1. •Consistently received clean financial audit reports.


  1. •FHC financial statements indicate that we have never operated in the “red”.


  1. •Having an internal Fiscal Affairs Department, our bills are paid within 30 days (Our auditors have actually criticized us for being too prompt on our payments.)


Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. believes that to date it has kept and will continue to keep its commitment to the community, the Bureau of Primary Health Care Motto of 100% Access and 0% Disparity.

The Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. (FHC,Inc.) is a 501(C) (3) Not-for Profit corporation in St. Croix, U.S, Virgin Islands whose principal office is located in the town of Frederiksted, on the western end of the island.

Through its affiliation with the Virgin Islands Government – Department of Health and in collaboration/partnership with the Virgin Islands Department of Education, FHC, Inc. maintains the Frederiksted Health Center and the Ingeborg Nesbitt Clinic – Urgent Care Center (FHC/INC) Community Health Center and the St. Croix Educational Complex (SCAC) School Based Health Center (SBHC).

These two service delivery sites provide outpatient health care services to the island of St. Croix, USVI.

To provide appropriate, cost efficient, comprehensive, high quality health care services to the people of St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands, with expansion to satellite sites without regard to race, color, creed, nationality, gender, age, handicap, sexual orientation, and without regard to ability to pay.
