Frederiksted Health Care, Inc is an private, non-profit, community-directed organization serving low income and medically underserved communities. FHC is controlled by a volunteer Board of Directors. More than 51% of the Board members are patients of the health center.

Frederiksted Health Care, Inc accepts Medicaid, Medicaid Managed-Care, Medicare, and most commercial insurances. Individuals who have no insurance and an income that falls below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines can receive a discount (Sliding Fee Scale) on services. FHC also has staff available to help complete Medicaid applications.

Ask to speak with a Business Office Associate. They are available to explain the Sliding Fee Scale and assist patients in completing a screening application. In order to receive a discount, patients are required to provide proof of income.

Yes. We accept almost all commercial/private insurance plans.

The majority of our funding comes from patient care revenue. Frederiksted Health Care, Inc also receives federal and local grant funding and donations. We are designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center by the Health Resources Services Administration. Frederiksted Health Care, Inc leverages every dollar received to make it stretch farther.

Additionally, Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. receives funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and has requested Federal Public Health Service deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Our services are available to anyone who wishes to be a patient of Health Partners. We do not turn anyone away for inability to pay.

It depends. Having an appointment means that your healthcare provider can spend the appropriate amount of time with you in discussing your health concerns. If you need to see a provider immediately our health centers offer a limited number of same-day appointments.

Your ability to pay should not be a barrier to receiving the health care you need. Please ask to speak to a Business Office Associate to see what options are available. You may be eligible to set up a payment plan or we might be able to make arrangements for you to pay for services.
